Our
technologies

Venturi Space has designed and developed unique multi-planetary technologies.

Our
wheels

Venturi reinvents the wheel

Although advanced wheel technologies already exist, the engineers, chemists and physicists at Venturi Space Switzerland have created a hyper-deformable lunar wheel that is unique in the world.

To achieve this breakthrough, as significant as the one made for the wheel in the 19th century, Dr Antonio Delfino’s Swiss teams devised a system that also required the invention of new materials.

Our
batteries

Efficient and durable

The batteries for the FLIP and FLEX rovers are designed to withstand extreme temperatures of the lunar South Pole (-240°C to +130°C).

Each cell is analysed and subjected to a series of tests, from delivery to Venturi Space Monaco to final installation in the battery pack.

Among the tests performed are simulations of lunar cycles in vacuum conditions and at different survival temperatures, vibrations, shocks, impacts, vacuum resistance, and radiation resistance.

Our onboard management systems

Venturi Space France oversees the development of key electronic systems for the lunar rovers

It designs and manufactures both embedded systems, which are the rover’s brains, and BMS (Battery Management System) systems, which ensure intelligent and secure battery management in the particularly challenging lunar environment.

Onboard management systems

Technologies developed by Venturi Space

Three state-of-the-art technologies developed at three sites: Monaco for the batteries, Switzerland for the wheels and France for onboard management systems.
